Emerging from the studio these pair of Mancy bass botherers should never have been let loose with such lethal sounds, but it’s too late now, the album is ready to drop.

Backdraft’s first single from their new album is out NOW. “9th Floor” features stunning vocals by Ebere in a haunting dubstep trouser flapper which is getting rave reviews from those ’special’ enough to have received a copy.

Fave quote so far from Torqux…”This tunes bigger than a blue whale’s thingy”.On the flipside we have Solja in the bass heavy squabbling party stomper “I wanna rock” We’ve got Future Funk Squad & Dogmatix who have delivered 2 stupidly heavy remixes…..Out in April here on the website & in all good record shops from May.

I Wanna Rock/9th Floor (Beat Bazaar)
Backdraft have long been dutifully ploughing the tear-out fields virtually anonymously, but here, in advance of their ‘We Know Where You Live’ album, they drop a double-headed single and come out sounding like a Zane Lowe band. Cheekz and Solja exchange catchy MC interplay, rolling out the rhymes for a hype track that’ll sound great on the radio. Dogmatix supplies a disappointing club mix, while ‘9th Floor’ is a bombastic trip-hop effort featuring Ebere that Future Funk Squad peak-times up into a screamer. Backdraft: moving out of the shadows.
